About Mike Burris, LMT

Hot Springs Massage To Go - 501-655-1101

Hot Springs Massage To Go - Mike Burris, LMTMike Burris was introduced to massage therapy due to his wife’s battle and subsequent recovery from systemic lupus.  She, Faith, was hospitalized and diagnosed with lupus in 1995.  After two years of prednisone medications, a type of steroids, her body had painful complications from both the disease and the treatment.

In 1997, Mike learned and performed therapeutic massage on his wife to support the healing of her body and for pain relief.  During that time, Faith met a neurosurgeon who had also obtained his PhD in his quest to explore alternative medicine.  He advocated regular massage therapy as one of the modalities to support healing and alleviation of pain.  Mike continued his massage training at the University of Louisville to further support his wife’s progress.  Within two years she was well enough to discontinue prednisone, and her ANA count (a blood test) had returned to normal.

After retirement from his employee benefit insurance agency of 31 years, Mike moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas in 2006.  He completed the state training and became a state Licensed Massage Therapist. Mike’s passion for healing is reflected in his work.  The massage therapy modalities Mike has been trained in are listed under “Types of Massage” on this website.

Mike Burris is a Licensed Massage Therapist and is insured through the American Massage Council.
